Nordic Makers, a seed investor founded by a group of serial entrepreneurs that have built, scaled and exited some of the largest technology companies of the Nordics.

When we founded and grew our companies, we were rather lonely. The Nordics was an immature startup ecosystem, and there were few investors and advisors. That has changed. The Nordics punch way above it's weight and is a thriving ecosystem. That has also brought in bad investors and some robber barons - we want to change that.

ABOUT THIS SURVEY: In our efforts to be the best investor for our founders, we ran this survey and asked Nordic founders to rate the importance of VCs helping them different aspects of their business. We asked them to rate, on a scale of 1-15 with 15 being the highest score, the importance of getting help with strategy, internationalization, fundraising, sales, coaching/development as a leader, hiring and recruitment, input on product, legal help, introductions and networking, third party discounts (AWS etc.), knowledge sharing (Slack etc.), networking events or whether they just wanted money and to get on with it. The survey ran in November 2017. Please note that the sample size wasn't huge so the results should be interpreted carefully - but they nevertheless give a feel of what the founder community thinks.
